When to sow outside: RECOMMENDED. Mild Climates (including Texas, southern USA, CA and coastal): Sept. through Nov. Cold Climates: 4 to 6 weeks before average last frost, as soon as soil can be worked in spring, or when soil temperature is 55°-70°F."
When to start inside: 6 to 8 weeks before average last frost. Start in paper or pulp pots that can be planted directly into the ground without disturbing roots.
Special germination instructions: Soak seed in water for 12-24 hours and/or nick with sandpaper before sowing.
